We Really Have Achieved Affordability
Here are some year-end facts, you know, the ones that you can’t find in much of the media.
We have more income, wealth and almost everything that we want except for housing. These are all positives for affordability, especially the median income rising to more than $86,000 for the average family, which is an all-time high.
Every income group is richer today. Hispanics have a median income above $70,000 which would make them wealthy if they were living in their own countries. Incomes are rising almost twice as fast as inflation.
While some find it hard to give President Trump credit, his common-sense economic, education, energy, environment and financial policies are working thus proving that he keeps his promises and America is always first.
Here are the facts of accomplishments during the past year:
The Median family income after inflation has risen by $1,250.
Income for the bottom 25% has risen after inflation.
The average family wealth in 401k plans is up on average by $21,000 reversing a more than $20,000 real decline under the previous administration.
No tax on tips and overtime starts on Jan. 1, 2026, for millions of American workers. This alone will put more money in countless American’s pockets for food and other necessities.
The federal budget deficit is down by 2.5%.
Our servicemen and servicewomen received a well-deserved $1,776 end-of-the-year bonus commemorating our 250th anniversary to be celebrated in 2026.
The latest numbers show that crime in cities is down, gun assaults are down 21%, aggravated assaults are down 10%, sexual assaults are down 10%, and carjackings are down 24%. Now, if only California legislators and Governor Newsom would fund the voter-passed Prop 36, that will fund implementation, we can be safer in our state.
Illegal immigration is down 92% from the peak levels preceding President Trump.
The United States is producing more oil and gas than at any other time in American history.
Across most of the US Gas prices, that approached $5 a gallon, are down to $2.89 a gallon today.
The swamp in Washington is being drained; Federal employment is down by nearly 300,000.
A record 400+ intrusive and burdensome regulations have been eliminated, including repealing racial quotas in hiring while focusing on merit-based qualifications, reversing mandates that Americans buy electric vehicles, repealing green-agenda policies that did not produce the anticipated benefits and allowing more drilling for critical minerals.
The unfair student loan “forgiveness” program has been canceled.
The stock market reached all-time highs on all three major indices: the S&P 500, the NASDAQ and the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
A new focus has been directed to health insurance and care. Prescription drug prices have been reduced significantly. Congress is working on our healthcare system with potential Health Savings Accounts that can be personally managed, and creating transparency in pricing for medical procedures putting the patient in charge of medical decisions.
There is a new emphasis on education to improve test scores in key areas like reading and math. Education savings accounts are available in most states to as many as 1 million students. These will not be available in California because Governor Newsom, controlled by powerful California Teachers Association Unions, will not subscribe to the program to give our students access to higher-performing schools.
It’s amazing what a difference a president who puts America first can make. It is time we face reality and give the credit where it is due.
We should all be glad to be in America at this unique time of peace and prosperity with a positive future ahead. It would be good for everyone, especially young people, to read these facts and consider the truth versus impressions learned on ill-informed social media.
