InConcert Sierra concludes its 2024–25 season with an extraordinary evening of chamber music featuring the Chamber Music Society (CMS) of Lincoln Center Quartet. Taking place Friday, June 13 at 7:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley, this prestigious event brings four internationally renowned artists—Wu Han (piano), Chad Hoopes (violin), Matt Lipman (viola), and Nicholas Canellakis (cello)—to the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Wu Han is not only a virtuosic pianist, but also the dynamic co-artistic director of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

The evening’s program spans classical brilliance and modern charm, opening with Beethoven’s landmark Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 1, No. 1, a pivotal piece in the chamber music canon. Jean Françaix’s witty and effervescent String Trio follows, delighting with 20th-century French flair. The night culminates in Dvořák’s rich and lyrical Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, infused with Czech folk spirit and Romantic grandeur.

Wu Han, also the co-artistic director of CMS, is a dynamic presence in the classical world, known for her expressive depth and advocacy of chamber music. “The players are all superstars of CMS,” she notes, promising a concert of rare quality and emotion.

This performance is part of InConcert Sierra’s CMS residency—the only one in California—underscoring its commitment to world-class music and community enrichment. A free pre-concert forum begins at 6:45 PM.

Tickets are $50 general, $5 for youth 18 and under. For more information, visit InConcert Sierra or call 530-273-3990.
