The 50th Annual Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival, hosted by the California Bluegrass Association (CBA), is set to take place from June 12–15, 2025, at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California. Celebrating five decades of bluegrass tradition, this milestone event promises a blend of nostalgia and fresh talent across three stages.
The Bluegrass Festival runs from Thursday, June 12 through Father’s Day.
Headliners include The Travelin’ McCourys, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, and The Gibson Brothers. Notably, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands and The Good Ol’ Persons, both part of the inaugural 1976 lineup, will return, with Lewis and Kathy Kallick performing a special set honoring their 50-year collaboration.
Beyond performances, the festival offers square dances, fireside chats with bluegrass pioneers, and a Sunday gospel jam. Educational opportunities abound with free workshops and the CBA Youth Academy for ages 8–16. Young musicians can also participate in the Kids on Bluegrass program, culminating in a mainstage performance.
Set amidst the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills, the fairgrounds provide ample space for camping, with options for RV hookups and nearby lodging. Attendees can enjoy food vendors, craft booths, and continuous jam sessions, fostering a communal atmosphere. Ticket prices range from $34 to $94 for single-day passes, with full four-day passes at $264 for adults, $254 for seniors, and $79 for teens; children 12 and under attend free.
